    bikes built
As I said, I started working as a builder at Rapid Transit last week. That means I build new bikes that are shipped to the store in boxes to get them ready for customers to purchase. Although the bike is mostly done when it arrives, we check to make sure everything is tight and adjusted and wheels are trued, etc. 2 nights ago I was able to name all the models of bikes I have built at Rapid Transit so far. They are (I think):
    Thrs: Kona Dew
    Fri: Kona Smoke
    Sun: Kona Humuhumu-nukunuku-apua'a
    Mon: Kona Blast
    Tues: Kona Dr. Dew

    worked
Worked for Time Out, made over $200 (thanks to Sam giving me one of his stops). Didn't finish super fast, starting to think that not eating slows me down more than taking a break for lunch would.

    Took Alex's Bottom Bracket class.

    Wednesday
On Wednesday, I delivered Time Out. I got a slightly earlier start than usual, and finished 41 stops by 3:30. Sought out and delivered to a new news stand, run by the brother of the Madison & Wabash News guy, and was back by 4:30. One highlight of the day was that the woman I always see at Bin 36 gave me coffee and a cookie. Now I am even more looking forward to signing up for their Wine 101 class, if it's not full. Left Time Out at 5:30, arrived home near 6, covered up graffiti on HUB Co-op with my own graffiti (hearts, "bikes are fun", etc.) Took a shower, went to a HUB Co-op meeting with architect Peter Dreier and lawyer Mike (?).

    Here's what's going on today
Yesterday I returned from a weekend in Philadelphia with my parents. I enjoyed it and felt very relaxed. I ate birthday cake and birthday pie. I even responded to one job listing!

    Today:
had pie and cookies and coffee for breakfast with Sam
filed some old paperwork to make room for kneading bread, found $36 worth of calls to Mexico on my phone bill. This is a mistake, I did not call Mexico.

Scooped litter box and the floor near the litterbox.
Ventured to John Stoner's office to find an available computer.

    10:52 am
    list, as usual
I haven't been making the list because my computer's broken, so I'm only accessing the internet every couple days. Actually, I think I've been wasting less time reading CCM emails and articles attached to them, and have more peace of mind in my kitchen without the internet now. I am now enjoying Ted's laptop in his newly-livable unit.
